Name: MOM

Hi Archie and Friends,

I read all the posts on this list regularly. I have posted a message only once though. I completed 32 weeks and am due Dec 9th. I had an Ultrasound on Monday and everything looks fine, the baby's head is down and the placenta looks good. But they said that the Aminotic Fluid is a little less. Not on the abnormal side but it is in the border line. I had a follow up Gyn appointment yesterday and she said she wants me to go and do the Non Stress Tests twice in a week and also she will check the fluid every week. I am a little worried. Is this something to really worry. Has anybody heard or faced such a situation and will the fluid level increase again, because Dr. said if fluid level keeps decreasing then it is not good for the babay. Please share all you thoughts and anything that I can do.

Hi MOM,

I have heard that if the fluid is less then they may put you on drips. Im not sure for how long. I think its good the doc is doing Non Stress Tests, they can judge your capacity to see it through the next few weeks I guess. Better not to worry too much. Im sure all will be fine.

Best,
Raji

Non stress tests are for your benefit..they will just hook u to a heart rate monitor and check fetal heart rate in response to fetal movement
I am also scheduled for one on Monday!
Just take it positively..stress will only make it worse...they will probably put u on medication....
take care and good luck!

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
