Please help. My 15 month old son is not eating textured food. I try to give him very small pieces of carrots etc but he throws it all out. I am worried and running out of ideas to make mushy food for him

Please help if some one has ideas how to have him start to eat regular food.

Thanks,
sonia

I give daal boiled with different veggies and a little bit of ghee and salt for my 10 month old. She seems to like it. But everyday is not quite the same. So I try to give her boiled veggies or fruits mixed with some cereal(all spoon mashed). I started off with cheerios first and now I give her Marie biscuits too for snacks. They get soggy fast. Have you tried Quaker Oats, the flavoured variety? You could make them really mushy and try it out. Give it some time and I am sure your baby will enjoy variety of foods.

If the carrot pieces are not very soft..mostly babies won't be able to bite it. Do you give him crackers? How does he react to that? Does he chews it well? Give him some cheerios everyday to get him introduced to chewing foods.

Did you try giving chapathi soaked in milk? Make sure veigie and fruit pieces are very soft before giving to him. Hope it helps!

Thanks for your advice.

He has been eating cheerios since he was 10 months old. He also eat crackers but for the past 3 weeks he chews the biscuit and then spits it out. He is totally at the spitting binge. He spits out everything.

As for lunch and dinner I try to give him textured food a little bit.

I wanted to ask when do kids start eating regular food, imean Roti, subzi etc. My son is 15 months and I have friend whose kids started eating regular goof when they were 12-13 months old.

Please help and share your experiences.

Thanks,
Sonia
