I have a 3 month old girl.Sometimes she refuses to suck on my breasts.Doctor suggested that I can give cow milk.Can cow's milk be given to an infant of 3 months age?Please suggest

If you are in the US, the pediatricians here usually do not recommend feeding babies with cow's milk until they are atleast a year old. The protein in the cow's milk is supposed to be a little too complex to be digested by the baby's system. Where do you live? Is baby formula available? Maybe you could ask for a second opinion from a well known doctor before you begin with cows milk for your 3month old.

Also, has your daughter been feeding well before? Does she refuse because she is not hungry or maybe you are not producing enough??
