Problems in School:Discipline in Delhi Schools
2004-01-02
Name: A D

Hi everyone:

I am new to this board. We are going to move to Delhi temporarily and I will need to admit my 5 yr. old dd in school there. I wanted to find out any experiences with disciplining. What methods are generally used. Is corporal punishment employed? My daughter is going to have a culture shock in a new country and such punishment methods might actually cause her to withdraw which I don't want. Does anyone have any experiences about disciplining in schools that they could share and any suggestions as to whether we could talk to teachers about this?

Thanks
Anupa

hello A.D
There are PTA'S i.e parents teachers association and there are meetings held often which brings interaction between parent and teachers. Corporal punishments are banned and you can report to the police for the same......

The basic criteria they look for is the child has to be well behaved
