My current weight is 146lbs ( height 5' 4\" ) and I want to reduce it to 128lbs by doing exercise and diet control in 7-8 months.
I am full time working and have a family to take care, so cant starve or do much of exercise at home.
I have been thinking about this from long time but do not have motivation and then loose track.
Usually my life style is very sedentary. but now I have joined 3 times aerobics class (1 hr each) before lunch, 2 times brisk walk on weekend mornings and 1-2 times swimming in a week.
is this enough, should I add more workouts to it?
is anybody out there who want to reduce weight and maintain healthy life style.

As promised I am visiting this forum again to update with my results, I am continue to do aerobics 3 times a week, and long walks twice on weekends.
After 2 weeks my weight is still the same, now I am going to monitor my diet closely -
actually my diet is not fixed, some days I eat less, skip breakfast and then there are days when I eat a lot in one sitting. I am trying to improve on all these things but still a way to go
also I have started taking multi-vitamins pills with food everyday.

meanwhile lets share your exercise and diet tips here for others to get motivated.
also whenever we eat unhealthy, junk or high calories food, we should compensate with more exercise/walk the next day.
I like the idea of fenugreek seed, I know it is good to reduce bad cholestrol etc. does it help in reducing weight etc also ?
I will also start eating it.
has anyone of you tried honey+lemon with water in the morning, is it really effective, I heard it may weaken your digestive muscles.
I am in California,USA.

My target is 3 months to reach 126lbs. i follow diet as
6:00 - 500 ml water,
6:15 - fenugreek seeds - 1 spn
7:00 - low fat milk - 150ml.
8:30 - 3 idli/dosa/roti with currry, green tea.
11:00 -orange juice -200ml, nuts
1:00 - 3 idli/dosa/roti with currry, green tea.
3:30 - milk -150ml.
5:30 - peanuts/sprouted moong dal/ channa/ salad.
7:00 - 3 idli/dosa/roti with currry, green tea.
8: 30 - milk - 150ml.
i practice some exercise at home for 30 min. this diet and exercise will definitely help me to reduce.
hope this is useful and i expect both of us to motivate each other. take care.

I stay in tokyo. married, blessed with 2 years naughty toddler. I have shared my daily intake. would like to know about both of u.
Fenugreek does not help in weight reduce but it is very good to take in empty stomach.
i tried henoy and lemon, but it didnot work on my weight. but it is also very good to keep health in good condition. so nothing wrong in trying.
shall we start from sept 1st. so by end of 2 weeks we will be able to focus on at the draw backs and then correct it and proceed to weight reduction.
I too love to share my motivation and push up when 1 of u are drawing back.
main thing is following this on week ends. focus ur minds now itself regarding what u have to take in week ends. so that we donot carve and feel help less. ok bye for now.

dear friend,
Saw ur msg to sandhya. Donto get frustutated. start slow and struggle and reach the goal. In this struggle, u should not feel hungry itself. Daily from time to time i take food and i donot even feel tired or hungry. when u feel like carving, divert ur mind. take a busy work like cleaning shelves, listen music, have butter milk, BTW, take heavy and healthy breakfast. slowly reduce the intake in noon and too low in night. take milk at 30min before sleep so that u donot feel tired or hungry on night and next day.
low fat milk and orange juice helps me a lot in eliminating my carving. take care.
