Rashmi -

Are you in the US? I don't know how the immunization works outside of the US but by 3 months I think he had between 6 to 8 shots. I spoke to my doctor and told him that we would be traveling and I wanted him to make sure that my son was current on all immunizations. He made sure of that and things went well.

The trip wasn't too bad, I nursed my son on the plane as well I had pumped milk and froze it, but for some reason it started smelling funny. So I threw it away and gave him formula when I wasn't able to nurse him.

Many airports have rooms to nurse babies now, especially those in Europe. So if you are nursing no problem there.

I didn't take my son anywhere except out to a big restaurant (twice in the entire one month I was there). Sorry to say but there is a lot more pollution there and I was not going to take any chances with my child. People came over to see him and that was fine, most everyone knew to wash their hands. I told my MIL that I would like for her to tell everyone to wash their hands before picking him up, I wasn't comfortable saying that to people. If she didn't then I did. Everyone was very nice about it, so don't be shy. It is only being safe for your baby.

Since your little one is 2 months, you don't need to take many toys unless of course your little one has one. Take lots of diapers, a few change of clothes, couple of blankets, medicine (everything you can give), formula if you are giving. They will gladly heat up the milk for you on the plan (usually they will give you some hot water to put the bottle in).

Take extra water for yourself. Don't worry, things will go fine. Your little one is still small so he/she will not make a fuss. Enjoy your trip. Ask them for the seat with a bassinet, so you can put the baby to sleep. Also, as soon as you get on the plane, make sure you have a pillow and couple of extra blankets from the steward. I lined the bassinet with a folded up blanket and put the pillow on top of the blanket, then I laid my baby on top so he slept on something soft. You don't know how the plane ride will be,too hot or too cold, so take clothing for both so your baby is comfortable. Put a onsie on your baby for the entire trip so it is easy to change the diaper, less fuss for you. Don't forget the baby wipes.

Hope this helps, keep in touch.
