Hi, my name is Donncha Fahy and I live in Ireland. Im doing a project at the moment concerning the effects of television on young children and part of my project is a survey. It would be great if you parents could answer the few short questions below. All I want are very short answers like simply Yes or No, because if the answers are too long I wont be able to put them together and get some statistics. Anyway here are the questions: 1. How many hours of TV a day, on average, do your children watch? 2. Does it affect their social life? 3. Does TV stop them from getting enough exercise? 4. Do you think they watch programs with unsuitable content? 5. If so, do you mind, or do you do anything about it? 6. Do you encourage them not to watch TV? 7. And finally, overall, weighing up the pros and the cons, do you think TV has a good or bad influence on your children? So remember, short, one word answers please. Thanks a million.

I feel that my husbands parents are using their son. My husband is from India and I am from the USA. He obtained his greencard and citizenship through me after coming here. He is a physician and obtained his residency training. I worked to earn for our family for two years until he got his job. Then he applied for his parents to visit us on a visiting visa. We were both wo... - Tina Shah [View Message]
RE:self centered inlaws
I agree they have completely double standards as I recently found out. I saw my husbands childhood photos when he was young. His parents claim they sacrificed everything for their kids and lived poor and behave like martyr parents. Got treated as free domestic servant. But the photos showed them dressed like Bollywood stars with watches and jewellery enjoying their life. O... - Tina [View Message]

if you are rudely talking with her, then this is not way to talking with your mother in law, you tell her in polite way, your son is her grand son, so she never think about his bad effects.... - ruchita [View Message]
