hi all, my son is 13 months old. fine in all respects but catches cough and cold very frequently. I have tried allopathy, homeopathy but not much success. i give him everything to eat. but many people say i shud restrict him on foods- no daliya, no suji, no banana. all these contribute to cough. but docs say he can have everything. i am really confused. any tips on how can i increase his resistance level. i am a working mum. he stays in day care. people around say i shud not leave such a small child away from me. make me feel so guilty. but i started working only after he turned 1. what shud i do. do i leave my job?

Try washing hands of the Kid as many times as possible with soap water say atleast 12 to 14 times and give warm food as much as you can besides that wear loose clothin in the night try to sun the Bed Pillow and change bedsheets every 2nd or 3rd day when teh baby is having cough give steam or apply cherry rub in the night or use ajwain Make it hot and 1st test on yourself apply with a cloth or Cotton balls on the chest or on the clothin of the baby Child rub can be applied on the clothing to give relief in the night besides put small pillow on teh baby head so breathing is easier hope this works

Hi,
I am also a working mother.I have been working since my baby was 2 months old and now she is 17 months.dont worry our kids become independant and smart.but i dont keep her in day care.one baby sitter comes home to look after my child.do u have something like a nurses bureau in ur city.I got this baby sitter from a nurses bureau only.they are good ,at least 10th pass and come from a lower middle class family.so she can read out english to my daughter.
dont wory so much.just tale proper care.sterlise everything.i even sterilize her bowls in which i feed her.the problem is ina day care kids catch infection from other kids.just look into that too.
chal all the best to u and ur baby,
aarya

thanks aarya for ur morale boosting. actually initially i did try for a personal baby sitter but cud not catch hold of someone good. rite now my son does not go to a professional day care. it is a family, slightly elderly couple who take care of him . he is the only kid and aunty is a retired school teacher. so keeps teaching my kiddo.btw which city u are located? whats ur kiddo's name.? more later. bi and take care
