You may try to give some cheese everyday for calcium.

My baby did not like rice at first. So I had to give her Gerber rice cereal mixed with vegies for somedays.

After that, when she got used to the taste I used smashed rice instead of cereal.

You may give ur baby idli, rava upma. That's good for health too..

Dear Gayathri,
Cheese, yoghurt and milk intake are good for calcium.
Spinach is rich in both Iron and Calcium.
Cereals have good amount of Iron. So morning cereal is a must for babies.

For 2 year old, you can give sprouted beans( like moong, rajamma). They are all high in Iron and protiens especially if we are vegetarians.

I have heard 2 year old are very picky eater so you will have to try new varities everyday.

Try to include most of the vegetables(Green beans, peas, mixed dal) for Iron and some vitamic C daily which will help in Iron absorbtion.

I have heard even jaggery is rich in iron.

Hope it helps.

hi,

for rice, u first cook the rice fully and then mash it completely. for 1 spoon of rice pour more water so that it will be cooked like paste. then add dal etc., with ghee.

for soji, first fry the rawa in ghee. then heat 1 spoon of ghee and add jeera. then add the water ( which is double to rawa) add salt. after boiling of that water add rawa. that's it.
u can try kids yogurt also.
