Feeding:Introducing bottle and formula to a 5-mth old...

I want to introduce formula and the bottle to my 5-mth old son. I have been trying similac advance with iron and enfamil lipil. He doesn't like the bottle or the formula.

I am told that formula from India is much sweeter than the ones here. I have tasted similac and enfamil.. Both have a bitter after taste. Anyway, I am giving him iron and vitamin drops per the ped's suggestion.

He has been taking cereals and veggies for the last 1 mth and doing pretty good.

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with Indian formulas? Also do you have any suggestions for introducing bottle?

Thanks

Aarthi

Hi
Even I suffered the same problem of not tasting Similac. But first I develop the taste of similac by making him drink (1 or 2 oz) from spoon not from bottle. Slowly he will develop the taste and will soon pick the bottle too. It worked with me very well.
Wish you good luck and have little patience trying this.
Regards Kavita
