Body and Fitness:need a friend for motivation

Hi everyone, I ' ve gathered some tips from this board for losing weight and now I am going to put them to work. I need someone for support in this, possibly someone who wants to lose 10-15 pounds as well. We can maysbe share tips and help each other through this. Anyone up for it?

Hi everyone. I guess we are all here for one goal: lose weight. I tried to go on a diet and I lost like 2 pounds in a week but then I cheated a lot and I gained all of it back. :((( If u guys think u can stick with this diet then heres what I did:
a sandwich in the morning with tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce in it.
2 chapaties after 2 hours (with curry/sabji whatever u wanna call it)
apples or pear after two hours.
then I ate some snacks( juice or low-calorie) when I was hungry
And for dinner, the same sandwich I had for breakfast.
I devoted myself to 2 hours of physical activity and I reduced my time infront of TV and computer. U will lose weight this way, the hard part is sticking to it. And just to add something----> I ate whole wheat bread not white bread. If u have Any comments on this program, pls reply.

Hi Priya and all!

Finally I have some motivation and company to lose weight. I have a 7 month old baby and I have not reduced even a KG after my delivery. I was 52 Kgs (114 lbs)then and even now I am the same. I console myself by thinking that it is coz I am still breatfeeding my baby exclusively. However thet is no excuse. for my height I should be 47 kgs (104 lbs). So I need to reduce 5 kgs (11 lbs).

This is also my new year resolution to reduce 5 to 7 kgs. I wana freak out and party hard (booz and eat)31st nite and wana follow the given regime come Jan -
brisk walk for 20 min twice a day.
Gym for atleast 5 days a week
watch out what I eat - no rice in the nite, no ghee in diet, no sweets, icecreams, pizza, chocolates etc. cant diet rigorously as i am feeding the baby.

I have conciously decided not to resume work until the baby is a year old. I have 5 more months to go and a target of 5 kgs to lose...

I am 143 lbs. My target weight is 125lbs. Once I reach that weight then We' ll try for the second baby as all that extra is from my first pregnancy and until I shed that I don' t want to go for the second one. I had reached 183 lbs during my preganacy and was able to shed much of the extra weight just by breast-feeding and brisk walks, the remaining 18 lbs is what troubling me.

Priya, I am planning to lose 1-2 lbs every week so my target weight by end of January is 133 to 138 lbs. I plan to do this only by walking and watching what I eat. I don' t follow an exercise regime as my 2.5 year old takes priority after a full day at work, don' t want to cut on that. Also Gym is a little far from my place and mornings are anyways enough hustle-bustle.

I' ll keep you updated with my progress and you keep me with yours. Best luck to all of us.
