Hi
I want to slim down my thighs and legs and i m probably gooing to buy a cycling machine, so i can excercise indoor. Pls tell me if this is a wise decision. If its fine, for how long should i excersise on it. Pls have in notice, i dont want muscular legs, I m tring to get my legs toned and slim. And will i lose weight overall or just in the lower area. PLS REPLY Soon Sandya or anyone who can help.

Priya,
Cycling could be a good start for someone not used to much of physical activity in a day. The plus side of cycling is it builds your calfs and stamina very much. But on the dowside, it also builds your butt and thighs(something like the typical south indian figure, remember sridevi the actress). Anyway, what cycling does is it redistributes your mass(weight) from your legs to your bottom. But like i said, it could be good start, just don' t stick to it alone for too long(like years). A good physical workout should use all your body parts and the maximum number of muscles as possible. Start with any elliptical or cross-training machines. Do free weights(in the increments of 5 lbs) every other day for 15 minutes. Walk for atleast half hour a day. Run for about 10 minutes in a day. Do yoga for 20 minutes in a day or do jhadoo-pocha of your own home every day...whichever you prefer. Basically incorporate a lot of moves to revv up your metabolism and start losing weight. I am 38 yrs & weigh 68 kgs, working woman with 2 school going kids. I have been gymming 45 minutes for last 1 month religiously, but no diet was followed.
I could not loose even .01 kg weight.
Pl help.

Hi priya,i read ur article.this is not a big problem.i will tell u a simple way to reduce the weight by which i have lost 10kg.
1.First you stop the habit of drinking coffee or tea.
2.when u got up in the morning after finishing ur brushing prepare a lime juice.ie.take 3glasses of water and add one lime to it u should not add any salt or sugar.
3.u should sip and drink.u should not drink as like water.
4.then for breakfast u should take only three nos whatever u take.
5.for lunch take a small cup of rice but u can eat the side dishes veg like porials,subjies as u want.then at last take a banana.
6.evening session ples dont take any snacks or tea.if u feel hungry drink pleanty of water.
7.night for dinner as in morning take 3nos of anything such as idli,dosai or chappathies.then take 2nos of banana.
friend this menu u continue for 3months u can see the difference.first when u are going to start measure ur weight once in month.reply me for ur good result.
