Hi Everyone,
My doctor has prescribed amoxicillin for me now. My coughing has gotten worse though. Everytime I cough, I leak too, I am not sure if it is just my bladder or some amniotic fluid is also leaking. Can anyone tell me what to do!!!
Luv, Siya

as rids told you can do keagel exercises for this problem. Those are helpful not only during pregnancy but also after pregnancy if we continue them this unexpected leaking 'll control it seems. It'll be explained in any book or search in the net.
good luck

Dear Siya and Shazia,

I have been attending Pre natal classes and recently our instructor told us that the leaks can be avoided if we regularly practise Kegel exercises. These are helpful not only during pregnancy but for your lifetime. Are you aware of these exercises? If not, i could tell you how to do them. They are quite simple and are recomended in most books.

Tk care

Hi siya,

arey yaar siya , Iam too suffering from this.I have sneazing and cough too. I too leak a lot. Its not the fluid. Everytime i cough i leak.Due to the pressure on the bladder we tend to pass out urine while laughing , coughing or even sneazing this is very normal during pregnancy.

I suffering a lot. But about the antibiotic, as far as i know we are not supposed to take it unless very very serious illness. My doc dint give me any medicine Even though i started wheezing.i sneaze hundred times a day. I've got an allery called rhinitis.

oh gosh it kills me :(

Believe its very difficult to sleep. I am taking milk with honey and a pinch turmeric. it helps a bit. try it out.

Hi,

I am having the flu kind of infections, so the doctor prescribed antibiotic. seems some antibiotics are safe to take during pregnancy. amoxicillin and azithromycin are two of them. my son also has this infection, here in US it is a particularly resistant strain. Sometimes i feel it is better to be in India, I was never this sick there. Anyways, makes u think who is developed and who is not. All I can do is try taking some home remedies, I tried Robitussin, it only made my cough worse. Oh, I did Kegels all along with my first one, it doesn't help much, If your body type is really elastic then it works, mine is not!! Word of advise - if u r in the US and have school going kids, please take extra care of urself or u will end up suffering like me. Mine happened bcoz my son got the bug home from school and was obviously stuck to me when he was ill (he is only 2.5). Now, I am going to pull him out of school as I cannot have this flu bug in my place again. Bye!

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
