They say breast feeding will make bonding with baby easier & faster..... But i feel so bad when my baby doesnt react to what i sing or what i do.... May be as she is just 15 days? i feel she still looks at me as if i m a stranger......

Hey niki, how i khushi doing??? yeap, it feels great once my stitches healed in about 6 weeks after delivery. dr. said okay in walking, driving and almost everything but she asked me to take it slow. yeah, i do cook every now and then as my mom will be leaving in a couple of weeks and she wants to spend some time with Rohit.

Initially Rohit was like that. he would want to feed every hour or so and would nurse from me for about 30 mins. i had suffered through major nipple cracks. My lactation consultant told me that since he was so young he didnt know how to suck. boppy pillow was of big help too in positioning him properly. believe me it gets better, now he is a champ in nursing. he would feed for 10-20 mins depending on how hungry he is every 2 1/2 hours. At night he would even go for 5 hrs straight without feeding as he would be fast asleep, although those nights are very rare.
Khushi would know that you're her mommy before she can tell anything in this world. its just that she doesnt know how to respond.

Yeah, i went out a few times with Rohit to our friend's place and also to the mall a couple of times. he loves the car ride. now since its getting cold outside i havent taken him anywhere for past 2 weeks. well i've also started pumping since i've to return to work in a few weeks and wanted to introduce bottle to him. thankfully he takes it without any trouble.

anyways do take care and love to khushi. sure i'll send you his snaps. it'll be great when priya also joins us here. our little ones already have pals.

Dear niki,

Remember me, from the expecting the baby board. Rohit has just started recognizing me, he is almost 8 weeks now. I think it'll take some time for your little peanut to recognize you & your voice. When rohit is hungry, when i pick him up he'll stop crying for a while after looking at me. Soon your little peanut will know her mommy and would give you a big smile when you talk to her or pick her up. how is the feeding coming along?? how is she sleeping??? Rohit still has hard time sleeping in the night. he had a little bit of cold last night and both myself & him didnt get any sleep. anyways he's just starting to take is afternoon nap, maybe i should go and take a nap along with him. my love to you both. do keep in touch.

Hi there Seems u r in charge of urself now that u completed almost 8 weeks/ Did u start cooking etc?

feeding seems to be little puzzle fo me as i get enough milk for her but it seems she wants more always.....& it is painful for me to keep her latched for so long so now i give my breasts some rest by using the pump few times in the night feedings & still if she feels hungry i give formula.....What to do? How about U?

Ya even khushi will recognise me when i hold her but i guess when she looks into my eyes she still feels as if i am a stranger///even though i sing to her etc///ur correct may be she is too little to respond to me.

it is great that now we'll be in touch on this board. Waiting for Priya to recover & start posting.....chalo then take care & love to Rohit. Do send me his snaps. Have u started driving, going out etc....?
