Hi all my baby was born wih only 6 lb in june 2006. and now he weight 20 lb and he is only 4 1/2 month old.my doc said he is just big baby and his milestone is perfect by his age. He started to roll over when he was 3month old and now at this moment he tries to roll back to front but not yet success. he hold his head up high and laugh,giggle and screams and coos a lot too. please let me know if i should be worried or not? thank you Hetal replied. you should be worried only when your dr shows the worries. big babies measures differently and its perfectly fine for them to cross an average wght percentile. the only thing that should worry you right now is his developments.
once you start him on solids,,you can give him simple diet instead of good fat diet...however, all that is a future story,,right now, if your dr is ok with his growth,,you shouldnt be worried..
about you and your dh being average hght,wght,,its not necessary for your baby to follow his parents genetic makeup,,he could pick up neone hght,wght from the supressd genes that he has in his genetic makeup ! could be neone, your grandfather,great grandfather or may be your far relative..its quite unexplained about how the genes becomes prominent and how other genes are supressed..may be your hght,wght might reflect in your kids children in future !!
so its quite explained..my personal exp with it was quite amusng,,my dd hs takn hght of my dh grandfathr,while her body mass is like my dh and my moms !!
so look upon your dr concerns when it comes to your baby,,he knows your baby from day 1 and he knows how he is growing physically !!!!

what did u do that the baby gained such good wt? Many mothers like me are worried abt their underwt babies. Can u pls throw some light on how did ur baby's wt gain so fast? Will guide us.
