hi my 41/2 months old watches tv when we are watching. is it ok???
also she has been constipating what can i do???
recently i started on banannas puree for her should i stop it. what other solid food can i giv eher to prevent constipation. i have been giving her rice cereal since 1 month.
please help!!!

Hi,

As jayashree has said, i feel u must not watch TV infront of ur baby. we have stopped watching tv pretty much but even if we watch at times we make sure my baby is asleep. if he is awake he too likes to watch tv. I guess babies are attracted by the color and moving images. my baby also likes to see computer and the screen saver. but it is best to avoid exposure to the screens due to the bad radiations.

thanks jayashree
i will try it next time when she gets constipated. as for now she seems to be ok. i stopped the rice cereal and banannas. started with oatmeal and she is fine with that and seems to be liking it too. just 10 days left fo rher to be 5 months. then maybe i'll start with some peas or green beans puree. i am hesistant to start with any fruit puree as she might start liking only sweet stuff. so starting with veg first.

hi newmom,

There is nothing wrong in watching TV unless the programme which u watch is horror filled film or other. A survey conducted recently says that kids who watch horror films from childhood behave the same way. so its fine to watch tv either educational programmes or sports. and if u need to watch movies,c that ur kid is asleep.

bananna will cause constipation. boil 7-8 raisins in water, squeeze it, filter the water and give thhat to ur kid. she will be fine. hope this helps....

my daughter likes to watch tv.she is now 8 mon and she crawls and walks.
she always goes near tv and stands up and watches.
i too am worried about it.
