a friend replied. Hi Gill,
I agree with the replies given by Tina and Vignesh as I myself have tried it because I was very thin. I dont know about the reply given by Shahin Sultana as I never knew about it but u could try that too. Exercise is also important anway. Have ghee everyday in ur diet, have chocolates, nuts, bananas, 1-2 glasses of whole milk, cheese, one egg daily, dates and also chicken once or twice a week (if u r a non-vegetarian). It will surely help u but u will have to do it continuously for few days or months. And yes, like Vignesh has said, I agree its not healthy but I too was so desperate to add weight that I didnt mind my health. I was fed up of being called 'thin'. But once u maintain ur particular weight which u want to have, then slowly try reducing fatty things, lest u should not gain extra weight. So first find out for ur age and height whats the right weight and keep on checking ur weight till u attain it.
Happy eating!
Bye
Tina replied. Hi Gill,
Well, firstly don't worry much about ur thin structure, that will make u even more thinner.
I think the best thing to put on weight is have a very healthy diet, don't eat fried stuff a lot, it's not good for ur heart.
For breakfast try eating butter, cheese, milk with bread etc.. Try including ghee in ur food a lot. Eat nuts (cashew, peanuts, almonds etc) whenever u r hungry. Before bed time eat a banana and few dates, that would certainly help. ofcourse eat lots of veggies, fruits, eggs.
Try all this for atleast 6 months, and i'm pretty sure u would gain weight. Be persistent in whatever u do. If u r not used to eating lot, start with small portions and increase as u go along.
All the best
Tina
Vignesh replied. Try eating fatty foods. ghee, oily products etc. r good 2 make u fat but r not that healthy!Anyway try them out!
ALL THE BEST!!!!!!
Shahin Sultana replied. A lot of people like to just eat as much fried, fatty foods as possible to do this but you could try something else because I personally prefer this way.
When people want to lose weight, they work out with weights that make that certain muscle area sore but not too sore. This is because when that area is sore, it is a sign of your tissues that have ripped trying to heal. When they heal, they become swollen. Therefore they use weights in moderation. You could try using heavier weights. But be careful there are a few things you need to remember when working with weights. Firstly, never comletely extend the joint. For example, you are doing bicep curls (the one you see a person with their elbow resting on their knee and flexing their arm with a weight in their hand) don't completely extend your arm because a lot of hrm cold be done to your muscles and your joints. Secondly, whenever the weights put pressure on the muscle... exhale... and inhale when the muscle is releved. Like when you're flexing your arm during a bicep curl, you inhale when lifting it, and exhale when diping it. This slows down the process, reducing the risk of harm. If you don't do this and continue using wieghts like this for a month... be sure to be visiting the hospital. I have a friend who works out with weights and her personal trainer couldn't stress how important it is to do this when working with weights.
It may seem difficult but really its not. Visit your nearest gym/fitness centre and work out there.
