Hi friends,

I read some of the post and its really informative..keep up the good work . I am 5' 3' ' and weighed around 60 kgs before delivery and during delivery time i was 167 pounds now i have lost some pounds and am around 147 pounds. Its now 2 years since my delivery. I want to know how much should i weigh according to my height and weight.
I just joined the gym 2 weeks back and have started on cardio and weights. I do the workouts like 15 min stepper,15 min treadmill 15 min bike etc..and then move over to weights. I am still a bit scared to run on the threadmill..:)..and i know running will benifit more..
Also read about green tea , lemon warm water in the morning..etc..do they help a lot..share ur experience plzz.
I dont have a weighing scale at home..do u think i need to buy one..it may motivate me na.
Also my tummy sags ..i dont know what care we should take. I never did crunches till now ..its been 2 years and i feel bad if some one will ask if i am pregnant..I wear those tummy tucking panties..dont know what u call them..
Did you all tie ur tummy after delivery ..I never took any care as i didnt know about it..Do let me know if there is soemthings i can do now..
Also what workouts and weight exercizes targets tummy and abs...and how much time i should do..etc..
I read that doing workouts in morning is good...is it ok if i am doing it in the evening after my hubby is back..???

Thanks.

You would have to give your age in order to see your ideal weight. But say you are 28 yrs, then your weight range should be in the range of 125 - 130 lbs for your height. Then again, these are only numbers, don' t put too much emphasis on them.
I would suggest that you do atleast 20-30 minutes on one machine before you switch to another. Remember you are warming up for 5 minutes, and cooling down for 5 minutes as well. If you have the time, do two machines per day for 30 minutes each. You really don' t have to run on the treadmill. You can power walk (by going to about 3.7) and use your arms, don' t hold if you can help it.
I have given out several ab work outs in the forum so you can look at them for some ideas. If you want to get rid of your tummy, crunches it is. Nothing else works better. Just do 10 repetitions at a time. Gradually build it up. Remember good form.
It doesn' t matter when you do exercises. You do them when you can. Remember, it is about you and no one else. If you can workout in the evening, then it will be so. It is better than not working out at all.
But as Chitali pointed out, you will have to cut down your calorie in take as well. Stay away from sugar, starchy food (potatoes, roti, rice) as much as you can. I can' t be without rice so I gave up everything else for which I don' t care much so I can eat rice.
With the exercises you are doing now and food control, you will be on your way to better health.
No studies show that lemon juice works.
If you are going to the gym, you have access to a scale there, but having a scale at home can be helpful. I am not sure if it is motivational. I get discouraged at times. Remember to weigh the same time when you do.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi dia,

Mine was the same cas as you.
My height is 5. 3.5\" I weighed 60kgs(130lb) when i was pregnant.
I gained 38 lb and was 168lb in full preganacy.
After my delivery i was 154lb . I did not tie my tummy. I did it for 3-4 times because nobody was with me. so i have to take care of my baby from day one.
I did not do anything for myself.
I started doing exercise and after year of so i lost 14lb.
Rightnow, my weight is 140 lb.
I got so many help from this website esp Sandya helped me a lot.
I do 40 mins cardio and 10 mins stretching. My everyday target is to burn 800-900 calories.
I have elliptical trainer at my home. My husband bought that thing for me because i don' t have anyone who can takecare of my baby when i go to gym.
So at my home i do the exercise regulary for five days. In 10 mins stretching, i do the abdomina crunches too.
I control my food. That is the main thing you have to do. It is very hard for me because i am stay at home mom . So i eat all the time. But now i control my food. I eat walnuts and other nuts if i am hungry and i want to eat in between my lunch and dinner.
I still have to loose other 15-20 lbs That is my goal.
I know you can do it too. Just try and work hard.

You can get help in this message board if you have any questions. People here on this board are very very nice.

Good luck to you
