Hi sandya,

As i have mentioned in my previous post,i had a light show(bleeding) day before yesterday.And thanx sandya for ur advice on contacting my GYNAEO.But before contacting her,last night i had my regular periods,so i was less worried.

And usually every fridays,i would weigh myself.two weeks before,i weighed 73.9kgs,then the next week i was 73.4kgs..average 1 pound weight loss per week.but yesterday after followin the same diet n workout...i was 73.5kgs..i was awstruck!!!

what would b the cause??would it b my periods??
help plz...

dear shruti, There could be many reasons why you show a .1 kg of difference. Are you weighing yourself at the same time of the day everyday. The reason is, when you start eating and drinking after say 10hrs of fast overnight, you do gain weight. so, its really important to measure yourself precisely at the same time everyday. Also, like i mentioned before, you do gain an avg of 2-3 lbs one wk before your periods commence. So, keep that in mind. I prefer to measure myself every month on one particular day after my periods. This way, i don' t worry about a pound or two that creeps up on me during the month. It' s the way you look at it. If you celebrate for every ounce you lose and worry yourself to death for every ounce you gain, then i consider it a little too stressful. At any particular time, i only aim to lose a pound(max) and i never set any time limit on it. This has worked really great for me. Right now i reached 116 lbs and i' am not planning on losing anymore. I' am extremely happy at this weight and so am doing lot of yoga to keep myself toned. If and when my weight creeps back to 120 lbs, i will start changing my workout pattern to lose the last couple of pounds again.

Also, i' am really glad that your periods have started. One less thing to worry there. Always helps. don' t worry about the .1 kg diff that you notice. Just keep doing what you feel is right and you will see the change.
