Currently my daughter is 20 months old and I was facing the same problem when she was of same age. Infact currently also it is tough to feed her.

One option which worked with me was trying taking 3-4 items together at meal times. For eg. for evening dinner, take some kichdi, vegetable soup, butter milk or curd and few pieces of chapati. Give one bite of each item one after the other. If she resist one item don' t repeat. Next day try giving her dal rice + dal roti + some curd or butter milk. It worked with me to some extent. many times we try giving the same food that we eat, but may be it is too spicy for their taste buds. use same food, but can milder the taste for eg, by adding some curd to dal rice.

For breakfast along with milk, you can also try mixing some dryfruit powder with dates and make tiny balls (almost size of jeera goli). spread on plate and let you child pick one by one. This will divert attention and speeden the eating process.

For dinners, normally I try my husband to be involved. She will sit on lap of my husband and go through picture books and I feed her (TV should be switched off strictly).

Don' t give up. I think children put our brains to work, as we have to device new things daily.

All the best!

My baby is 15 months now. I too had the same problems when he was bwtween 9-11 months of age. Try different things and try to find out what she likes to have. May be she does not like what you are giving her and hence is not eating. I tried the foll with my kid : nachni in diluted milk, chickoo milk shake, or mashed chickoo, boiled apple, mosambi juice, add few spices in the dal you give. Two other things my child was fond of, at 11 months, I would grind dry kellogs wheat flakes into powder, add milk and sugar and give him. grind dalia into fine powder, mix it with jaggery and ghee and give small balls. My kid loved picking each ball and putting in his mouth. It is filling and nutritious too.

Dont worry all kids settle down with food sooner or later.
