Health Issues:Pediasure for 5 year old.

Name: sadhana avasarala My brother has a 5 old daughter and 7 old son. both are under weight and they are fussy eaters... my sister-in-law is worried about their eating. She want to try out Pediasure. I read on pediasure pack saying not for parental use. should be based on dietician's advise. Does it have any side effects...

please advise

my son was not adviced pediasure even though he was a fussy eater.my bil kids were on pediasure because they were underweight. dr told to give pediasure once a day.my bil second kid has gained nice weight so he was told to stop pediasure from last month.the first one is not good at weight so he is still drinking it.
my son weight was less this month, i asked my dr for pediasure. he said it is not needed. so i don't know how they decide about the weight.
please ask your ped about it.

hi
i have studied ur message.my son who is 5 years is also a fussy eater.i tried everything.he gets his tiffin box full from the school .he becomes tired by the time he comes home.then someone told to use Nutrilite kids health drink and kids chewable.i started that . now i could see a lot of difference in my child. he will have 1 glass full of milk with Nutrlite kids health drink in the morning and goes to school.he returns to home at 2:00 clock in afternoon fresh. now i am not worried abt him.u can also try. it really works .if anyone needsit u can tell me. i can get it for u.

This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
