Hello!
I have an eight month old baby who is a picky eater. Previously, she used to like Gerber carrots/ fruits..Recently, she refuses to eat any baby foods.. I give her moong dal mixed with rice cereals and she likes that. But, I wanted to add some vegetables/fruits to her diet..Wonder, if anyone has any idea about eight months old diet plan? Thanks in advance!!

Hi Jiya,
I peel the zuccini and then just steam it, once it's cooked, I just mix it in the blender. It's available in every grocery store in US. I use jaggery in the Dal, so it makes it sweet and my daughter loves it. To save time, I cook her veggies and fruits once a week, blend it and then put them in ice cube tray. Once it frozen I just freeze them in the ziplog bag. It saves a lot of time and most of the time the food is ready when she wants it. Hope this helps.

Hi,
You could mix her favourite fruit with veggies. I have 14 months old and she hated all the Baby Jar food. I started making all the baby food at home and I experiment a lot and she loves that. I make dal with different vegs (broccoly, green beans, carrots etc) and add some jeggary and she loves that. Also I mix Zuccini with blue berries or apple sauce. I think you could also give her tofu. I mix in the dal. It's good protein source. Experiemet with different food and she might like it.

Good Luck,

Thanks for your tips! I mix all the vegies in the dal and blend it in the blender and give to my baby.
So do u use jaggery instead of salt in the dal.??. Even my baby loves jaggery..

Regarding Zuccini, I have never used that before..Can you give me a brief idea on how to use Zuccini with fruits and its availablity..

Thanks again..appreciated!

Just wondering, if its okay to give cheese to a 8 month old baby. From when, can we introduce eggs to a baby ( can we give them egg yolk??).

HI
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. MY DAUGHTER IS NOW 10 MTHS OLD
I INTRODUCED HER TO CHEESE
SHE SEEMS TO LOVE CHEESE NOW
SO NOW I MIX VEGETABLES AND FRUITS OR FISH TOGETHER WITH THE CHEESE AND SHE LIKES IT. SHE TAKES IT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM

MAY BE YOU SHOULD TRY TO MIX FRUITS AND VEGETABLE WITH HER FAVOURITE DISHES. SHE MIGHT EAT
WHEN BABIES GROWS OLDER THEIR TASTE BUDS BECOMES MORE PROMIENT AND SENSATIVE - THEY WANT TO TRY OUT SOMETHING DIFFERENT. SO AT TIME THEY MAY REJECT SOME FOOD WHEN THEY USED TO TAKE WELL BEFORE.

ANYWAY GOOD LUCK
BYE RADHA
