Hello!

I don' t know what happen suddenly my 21 month old stop drinking whole milk. he was taking atleast 30 oz from cup but suddenly refuse it.

What should i do to encourage for milk.
i have started other option of milk toffu, curd but i want him to drink milk, I am worried he is getting enough cal and liquid.he is late in teething so need calicum.........

Please suggest me what should i do?

You can try with mixing of bournvita or other health drink.
The posibility is he is changing his taste buds.

Nitika Mel replied. A newborn baby requires between 24-32 oz of milk daily. A 21 month old DOES NOT REQUIRE SO MUCH MILK.

At this age, 12 - 16 oz of milk is the right amount of milk for a toddler to have. This amount is enough to meet their calcium requirements, as well as leave enough room for appetite of solid foods.

We feel very happy when our kids drink milk, but the fact is... if they fill up on milk... then they eat less quantities of other food groups, which could lead to deficiencies in other vital nutrients necessary for:
EYESIGHT, BRAIN DEVELOPMENT, BLOOD, IMMUNITY, MUSCLE DEVELOPMENT, and other senses and physical development. Maybe, his appetite for solid food is increasing, let him eat other food groups. And keep offering him milk, but if he refuses, don' t force him, otherwise he may taka a hatred for milk.

Try adding his favourite fruit flavours to the milk (NATURAL)... banana, mango, strawberry, etc. And maybe he' ll have it. You can even try Junior Horlicks. It' s meant for 2 years and above. But, he' s pretty close.
