i want to request all readers and visitors to this board to see what tv programs their kids watch
it is become important for parents to control the material the children can watch on tv and also the internet
happy new year abha koul replied. i am a mother of a 4yr ans a 3 yr old. both girls love to watch tv - especially cartoon. One big way to control their viewing is to control yourself. If you want to watch tv, how can you stop tham. I haverestricted cartoons on tv for two hours in the moring for holidays and half hour afyer school, before lunch on school days. I make it a point not to switch on the TV for myself when they are home. I sit with them and play with them when i am free. believe me, it is more of an enjoyment than watching TV.

My kids have picked up the TV habit despite my efforts from their grandparents who love to watch TV the wholw day and give in to their request to wath cartoon at the drop of a hat. There is not much i can do in this regard. i have tried xplaining to them the harms of TV watching for the kids but i get back an explanation that TV viewing widents the minds horizon. I cannot argue with them out of respect.

My MIL tries to go my way but soon when she is tired out, sheresorts to TV as it relieves her of physical running around with thw kids. Pawan Varshney replied. my kid is only 13 months but i astonished &also worried for his interest to see tv.he is very anxious to hear the tunings made during news highlights,see the adds very carefully, specially those are involving childrens,also heis laughing while seeing the adds like baby oil, cream.i m a house wife &seeing 2-3 tv serieals in morning &evening.is it ok? or else i hv to stop this activity?pl suggest.
