Hie,

My daughter is 19months. My friend has a daughter and she is 3years old. The thing is my daughter follows everything that my friend's daughter does. My friends daughter is rather uncontrollable. She does whatever she wishes and my friend would not say a thing except dont do it and leave it. I have a hard time especially when my daughter and my friend's daughter get to gather as we stay very close to each other. Its alright but what my worries are she is also following her friend to shout, hit, and will not listen and start to cry. Like the other day we went for a get togather and my friend'd daughther would initiate something and my daugher would follow and like that they broke a valuable item at the get togather at another friends house although it was initiated by my friend's daughter but eventually my daughter was also had to take part of the blame and they will jump and run about shouting and so difficult to control. I cant say anything since its my friend's daughter and also I cant restrict my daughter from meeting her since we are staying so close. What should I do? I dont want my daughter to grow like my friend's and not listen to her mom and disrespect in front of others like what my friend's daughter does. PLease advice. mannu_95 replied. Talk to your friend about her daughter's behaviour. she must be thinking in similar notes as you. first time parents are lost most of the time as how to raise our children the right way. You both can come up with a plan and follow it consistently. You may have to make a lot of sacrifices. For ex: if your children do not show the behaviour you want them to show take away one of the privileges. Say i will not take you out to play. Even if it means that you are stuck at home for a full day. If your friend does not agree to this plan you should be the judge of what is important. Ur friendship or your child's behaviour.
