Dear Houndy,
No worries, your baby is doing great. He/she will put weight more than 2kgs hereafter. Babies put more weight in third trimester, especially in last 8 weeks.

Dear Houndy,

Here are my comments on your queries:
#1
Glucose tolerance test is done between week 26 and week 28. If you live in US then sure you will be offered this test. If you are not then bring this point to your Drs. attention.

#2
Baby movements can be erratic. You are going to worry only if you don't feel any movements for about 6 or more than hours at a stretch. If you feel someday fully active and some less active it's OK.

#3
Maternity leave is an individual issue, your Dr. won't be in a position to comment on. Basically you should know how much leave you are entitled to take from office and I can tell you if you are OK you can work till you deliver baby. Check with Dr. as to you plan to work till delivery and if that's OK. Here your Dr. will advise not to if you have anything to worry, if your Dr. says it's up to you or you should then you should work as late as possible and take maximum leave after delivery.

Hope I answered most and are going to help.

Archie

Subject:  Thanks Archie, but some more dbts

Thank you very much archie,i'm relieved now,my next checkup is on Oct 2nd wherein i complete 28weeks
my dbts are:
#1 my friends told me abt the Glucose Screening Test which my doc never opened up shud i ask her abt this ? or is it in later stages ?

#2 i can sense my baby movements very well, somedays he is very active for the whole day and sometime he is asleep(i guess) why is it like that, actually i'm not worried but still curious to know abt this fluctuations in foetal movements

#3 my doc is not giving me a clear picture abt when shud i take my maternity leave,i know after delivery i need all the leave, but some say i shud take my leave from my 9th month onwards, some say i can work till the last week(my EDD is dec 20th) so plz guide me in this archie, till now i'm fine but some work pressure and 2hrs travel to & from the office are tiring

Thanks
Houndy

RE:adoption in a family
hey ananya this is really a very sensitive case and you should think about it before hand as in what the child would think in future as he or she grows up. Or else you will have to do counselling of the child at the right time.... - ridhi [View Message]

Hi Rupal,
So don't you have any other option because it would be very hard for you to abort the child know.So better ask for any other source if not then you decide what to do.... - Amani [View Message]
