I have a one year old son . These days if we don't give him what he wants he starts crying and since 2-3 days he started banging his head against doors / walls and cries a lot till we pick him up . Is this behavior normal and passes off with age ? Should I pick up the baby when he does this or should I leave him so that he will know that no one responds to his actions . Today we tried not picking him up , ignored him. He banged his head for some time , then got on to his bed and cried so badly till we picked him. He looks at us while doing all this.

I am worried about his behavior . My husband says all this is because of the pampering he is getting from me and his grand parents. I read in sites that till the baby is 2 years old we have to convey the message to them very lovingly and not scold them .

My son is 14months old he does the same thing he wamt me to hold him all the time and he want me to take to light switches to on and off if i won't lift him he gets angry and cries until i pick up all this is because of grad parents pampering if we some how get rid of the habit some how it will be good otherwise they want us to do evrything what they want. My friend son does the same thing to lift him up but friend told me when ever he comes to lift him up sit down then he won't say to lift them up it worked little bit for me but i can't sit all the time for him but upto until he get's rid of the habit we can do this.
