other the baby shampoo can we wah the hair of my baby with curd,or anyting which u can suggest?he is 9 month old and just had mundan....... Hetal replied. dont use anything other than baby shampoo when it comes to hair ! while washing hair, its going to pass over the whole body,,so be careful while applying anything other than shampoo !
also about curd and all,,we used to do it when we were young like 13-14 of age,when our hair got in bad shape and to give it a bit bounce..
for a mundan, in ayurveda, a good massage of castor oil has proved beneficial esp in summer..as when there is no hair on the head, it tends to get more heated up...castor oil provides cooling effect and is completely safe to use for babies too.also try getting the one that is pure and filtered and since its the case of baby,,a little is just more than enough,,dont make it sticky ! remember,grease attracts dirt and iritates baby..so avoid that.other than, any good brand of oil that is edible is also fine !
gram flour is actually a hair remover,,and it cleans very nicely,so there is not much possibility that it promotes hair growth,,and in some babies they have had dry skin or dry hair,resulting danruff or flakes when washed with gramflour,,, however some cultures of india have been using it with proper care..so you might want to consider that !

We use besan everyday and use shampoo twice a week. I find with besan the oil will not totally go away and sometimes smells a lil in hot weather. So it's best to use mild shampoo once in a while.
