Feeding:Rejection of milk
2009-04-28
Name: Shailaja

MY baby is 9 months old. I have been mostly breastfeeding him along with solid which I introduced in 4th moth. My child does not take top milk eith formula or cow' s milk from bottle. He drinks water from bottle but when its milk he rejects the same. The only way I am able to get him to have some milk is by feeding with sppon or in the form of ragi porridge. Any suggestions on how to make him bottle friendly.

if your baby like bf, then try expressing some breastmilk, and feeding that thru the bottle. If he takes that, then slowly try mixing a little formula( 1/2 or 1 oz) to the breastfeed and see if he takes it. Gradualy reduce the amt of breastmilk and increase the amount of formula. Do it slowly over a week or 2.
Hope it helps
