Feeding:how to prepare apple puree

hi moms,

my baby is 12 months old and he likes the gerber fruit ,but I am going to my native place where I won' t get these baby food in the market.So how can I prepare applepuree like gerber applesauce at home ,,please suggest me.
I also won' t get baby yogurt .. so can I give sweet yogurt which is available in the shop or he doesn' t like the plain one..

Any experience mother please suggest me I am bit worried about his food.

1. Peel, core and cut apple into slices/chunks
2. Place slices or chunks into a pan with just enough water to slightly cover apples
3. Boil/steam until tender be sure to check on the water level and stir. You can add a little sugar or honey if you like, since your baby has completed 12 months.
5. Reserve any left over water for pureeing.
6. Place into a mixer and puree.
7. Add the reserved water as necessary to achieve a smooth, thin puree
8. Add cereal (if desired) to thicken up the puree if your son likes it that way...
Not too sure about baby yoghurt. My son liked the regular yoghurt. You can try Nestle probiotic yoghurt. It' s more fluid than normal yoghurt. Whip it up nicely and add some pureed fruit to sweeten, like mashed banana, mango, applesauce, etc.
