Hi S
Make sure u carry some new toys for ur baby, it must have lights and must be interesting. Don' t show it to the baby till he gets cranky. It will surely keep the baby calm.
Rest of the tips have been given by Mel.. Have a safe flight

Hey ' S' . Make sure you carry plenty of measured scoops of milk powder for her, so you can prepare fresh bottles for her en route. The airline will give you boiled, cooled water when you want. They also provide nappies, but I preferred carrying the ones that my son is used to using (to avoid rash). Apart from this, please carry some soft toys or books, as it will be a long flight. (Soft, so that if she flings it at a neighbouring passenger, it will not evoke much irritation.) Carry a shawl or a baby blanket as the cabin can get quite cold (and I didn' t want to use the airline blanket for my son). The bassinet in most airlines is USELESS, since it is meant for under 8 month olds, but my son wouldn' t fit into it even at age 8 months, his legs were hanging out, and we were actually trapped in our seats. Eventually, we asked them to GET RID OF IT. Make sure she is drinking during take off and landing so that her ears don' t pop (as this can be very painful). Dress her lightly and carry some warm clothes, so you can change her as needed.

VERY IMPORTANT - Carry spare clothes for your baby, but ALSO carry a change of clothes for yourself in your hand baggage. My son cried and cried and threw up all over my husband.

Since she is a year old, carry some snacks - crackers / biscuits / bottles of baby food, etc. as she will get hungry, and may not want to eat the airline' s baby meal.
