hi,
for toddlers thats their birthright to refuse.not everything is under our control right!!!!encourage the habit of self feeding...thats very important in their development.never try to interfere in it.its very true that the qty of feed that goes in is very much less.so you have to now go for foods which are small in feed size but have high calories. Its time that you stop nestum..but gradually as prao menitioned.i suggest the foods which have high calories are full cream milk 500 ml of full cream milk provides 450 calories.all that bies require now is 1300 calories.so plan for the rest of the calories...
i suggest like this:
6am: 150 ml full cream milk
8am: upma/idli/noodles/pasta
10am: rice+dal+rasam+curd
1pm: 150 ml f c milk
4pm: bread+peanut butter
6pm: chappati/parantha+ghee added
9pm: 200 ml full cream milk
this is an ideal feed schedule according to me....
be patient..persistent..relaxed...but the most important do not have this idea of \" CLEAN PLATE SYNDROME\" That means do not be particlar of baby eating ti her full...also now a days you get these bennevitta flax seed biscuits ..thery are very richest source of omega 3 fatty acids..so you can try them too...ok
bye

My daughter is the same age as yours.. One of the things I do is keep many halthy options open for her meals.. I have given up trying to ensure that she eats what we consider a normal meal (Rice, dal, vegetables chapati etc) We first try feeding her what has been cooked for us.. the next options is giving her whatever was cooked ealier for our breakfast - idli, dosa, chapati, next I try corn flakes, oats, bread and last some fruit.. even if she refuses everything else she will finally eat her fruit
Regd Nestum.. we normally stop these baby cereals at 1 year.. u can try giving her what is cooked for the rest of the family.. let her eat as much as she wants.. if u feel she has not had enough u can give her a little nestum.. but stop it gradually
