Hi moms,

My baby is 8 months old.He is not taking formula milk at all.. he wakes up 2-3 times at night and asking my milk,before I used feed from bottle when he is in sleep,but now a days he is throwing up the bottle in day as well as night.My milk supply has become really slow hardly it comes out 1 to 1.5 oz.But still he wants milk from me.He is taking solid food like oatmeal,rice cereal,gerber fruits and veggies 4 times a day.I used to mix formula powder with cereal and oatmeal,that' s he is eating nicely,but refusing bottle.Milk is neccessery for him at this stage.So Please please suggest some way how can I make him practice drinking milk,he is crying loudly at night.

firstly pls remember mothers milk is very imp for the child and its best if he is happy with whatever he is able to have from u.simple way of knowing if ur milk is sufficient for him or not try this..when he is crying just offer your feed if after that he is quiet and happy for 2 hrs means there is enough milk for his requirement.now as far his night time waking up is considered there could be a few reasons which are:
a.he is thirsty.try giving water
b.he needs to suck for comfort.in such case u need to be firm with him for 2 to 3 days by not giving him.he might cry a lot but u need to discipline him,if u find it difficult take ur husbands help,make sure u are out of the room and let him put him back to sleep.continue this for 3 days and he will get the message.
c.lastly it could be he is teething, which is very irksome for the kids,in such case u will just have to be patient and wait for the tooth to come.
