Feeding:Feeding issue at the day care

Hi Moms,

I need your help and advice. My daughter is currently 17months old and goes to day care as my husband and I have busy schedules. She is a really fussy and picky eater. She was losing weight and getting sick a lot at the day care, so we changed her to 3 days/week only and her daddy takes care of her while working from home for the other 2 days. Now the problem is that the day care is shifting her in 15 days to toddler room and they told me that she will have to feed herself and cannot drink from bottle because of state regulations.
I have hard time feeding her, it is always a battle and she doesnot have great coordination with toddler spoon or fork yet. She also doesnot like to drink milk from sippy cup.
What should I do? Are there any kinds of foods I can try which she can eat with hands? She likes noodles and khichdi a lot. My husband and I work full time so pulling her out of day care will be really stressful on us. I had bad experience with live-in and baby sitters so that' s not an option.

Please advise if you have any suggestions how to get my child to eat by herself.
Thanks in advance,
R Rai

Iam guessing you are in US/UK.
My opinion is daycare' s are not the best place for fussy eaters.I understand you had a bad expereince with live-in nanny' s but not all are bad. Most of the ppl I know, including myself are dropping kids at indian families and I feel thats safe too. Only Indian moms can take care of fussy eating indian babies.

Try again you might find a better place to drop ur kid
