Name: Jaldhara Hi I am new member of this board. Sombody advised me to post my problem on this board so I can get better guideline. So I am posting My problem : I am completing 12 months of my marriage and trying to concieve since last 6- 7 months but without sucess. I want to tell you onething that I am staying with joint family and hence I am not getting that much privacy. Is this the reason for not conceiving, please advise me?

ttc in joint family

Dear Jaldhara,

People have history of getting pregnant and carrying to full term in joint family so lets say that delay while ttc in joint family is unfair way to look at.

Are you late?
My answer is no you are in normal pattern. A healthy couple would take as much as a year time to get pregnant. Every cycle you have ony 20% chances of conceiving baby.

If you tell us more about your cycle and as to where you live will be in a position to offer some help.

Tell what you did and how you tried in last 6-7 months in order to not repeat something you are already doing.

Dear Jaldhara,

You could start intercourse from CD9 till CD 13 and this will help you getting pregnant. If you can avoid sex before cD9 is good and ask your husband not to masturbate (if he does) at least three-four days before intercourse.
Have intercourse once a day or once a two day in given period.

I think you are not only concerned on joint family but you have tight and stressful working schedule. If you both are working this way from long time then this physical stress won't affect much on ovulation or conceiving.

Give some time and follow advice you will hit success.

Thanks Archie for your prompt reply. As desired by you, I am giving here brief details about me. I am working lady staying at Mumbai. Actually my schedule is so tight, daily I am going to sleep at 12.00 clock and my husband also working in a 2nd shift in a pvt.firm. He is also coming late. My period cycle is 25- 27 days. We had sex in a normal way.

Please Archie help me?
