My son is having severe cough from the past 15 days.I took him to the pediatrician.She asked me to give him neubulizer every 6 hrs.I do give him in the morning every 6 hrs and night @ 10.00 pm and morning whenever he gets up...His appetite has come down drastically.He refuses any solid food.He takes only milk.I give him complan with the milk.Apart from this he doesn' t like to have anything.Am very concerend and worried abt him...Any advice/ideas?Appreciate it.thanks Padmaja replied. I can understand what u r going thru for my daughter who is now 7months old had gone thru this phase twice. Once when she was 4months old, she had to be admitted in hospital for 5 days due to bronchitis. recently again this whole thing of nebulizations and medicines etc... happened for abt 10 days. dont get depressed. this cold and cough is time taking thing, needs atleast 2weeks to get out of it. It' s very natural to have low apetite during this phase. due to mucus, baby cant take normal quantity of feeds. they' ll have vomiting sensation. give small frequent feeds. i dont know abt age of ur child, perhaps u can try soups/dal water etc...give warm food. there r some replies by hetal on home remedies for cold and cough. u can try them too.
