Hi,
I am addressing this problem to all working moms living in USA and send their kids to daycare. My Kid is 18 months old and i have started sending him to daycare since past 1month.First of all he doesnt eat mucha nd is a fussy eater.I used to give him mashed and pureed form of foods.I still feed him with spoon and he didnt get used to eating on his own.He never had a meal by himself. At daycare all the kids eat by themselves. And my kid is not eating anything during teh day because he is not used to eating on his own.He just has some crackers-very few.He is just having breakfast at home and dinner after coming back. How should i solve his lunch problem?
Please suggest me and help me.
Thankyou.

Dimple,
What i am doing is feeding heavy breakfast for my son in the morning before he leaves. And in lunch i requested his teachers to help him eat,and they say he hardly has 2 spoonfulls. But he has whatever snacks they give him in the evening after he wakes up.When i go and pick him i am giving him some chocolate milk and a buiscuit or some fish crackers or grahams.after coming home i give him some curd or a gerber and feed him dinner at around 8.30.but he doesnt eat the same all the time.im trying to do my best when he is at home.Thankyou and Goodluck.

Hi,

My daughter is having same problem thats why I am still at home. She is 17 months by now.

Could u go to ur kid' s daycare to feed him during lunch time? till he/she gets use to it? u can convince daycare ppl for this and also inform office ppl that u have this time for ur kid' s pickup so there wont be any prob for comming out that time everyday. u may try to minimize it in this way till u get solution.
