Hi All,

My 7months old daughter' s weight 6.8kgs. Since prev month, she has put up 450gms. Her diet is as follows.

11Am - 1.5 Scoop Nestum Rice + Cooked, Mashed Apple Slice + 45ml NAN2

1Pm - 1.5 Scoop Nestum Rice + Cooked,mashed Carrot / potato piece + 45 ml Nan 2

7pm - 2 scoop Nestum Rice + 60ml Nan2

Rest of the day on Nan2 formula which comes to a total of 450-460ml milk.

The problem is that she doesnt accept more quantity of cereal or milk at a feed like 3/4 scoops or 4/5oz of milk. i' ve to give her small feeds, frequently. Can u pls suggest what items shud i include in her diet so that her weight gain is better. pls respond.

thanks
padmaja

hey i have a 7 month old too and she weighs the same ...doc says its perfectly alrite ....anyways here was his recipe for my daughter ...you can add ragi in her food, this makes sure she stays nutritious & healthy ...2 scoops of Ragi powder, either make it at home (sprout ragi, fry it without any oil or ghee, grind it and then filter it to take out coarse particles)or buy ragi powder in a good market like nilgiris or fabmall/ spencers daily etc ..2 scoops of this with water to make a porridge and mix with NAN2 in the morning ..also u can switch from nestum rice to nestum rice ragi ..its available everywhere ..where do u stay ..you can start with these 2 alterations ..many kids dont like ragi in the beginning but my daugher eventually liked it if its masked in NAN and not with water. try this !! ...ofcourse you can take dod advice ..no doc will deny that this is good and you will see many moms in this list who give ragi ...try 1 scoop for 2-3 days and see how her stool / health is ...then you can increase the frequency and quantity
