Hi,
my son is 1 yr old and from past one month he is reducing his diet.He wants to take food only in 3 hrs interval.so, i am not sure whether i m giving him too much food at a time or he is not liking the food.
can any one help me by telling how many ounces/ml of cerelac or milk shake or khichri or porridge should be given to a 1 yr old baby?
pls pls let me know..

thanks,
priya

you can add ragi in his food, this makes sure his stays nutritious & healthy ...2 scoops of Ragi powder, either make it at home (sprout ragi, fry it without any oil or ghee, grind it and then filter it to take out coarse particles)or buy ragi powder in a good market ..2-3 scoops of this with milk & sugar to make a porridge in the morning ..also u can switch from other cereal to nestum rice ragi ..its available everywhere ..many kids dont like ragi in the beginning but my daugher eventually liked it if its made in milk & with sugar added and not with water. try this !! .....no doc will deny that this is good and you will see many moms in this list who give ragi ...try 1 scoop for 2-3 days and see how his stool / health is ...then you can increase the frequency and quantity ..also with any of his cereal you should either add mashed fruits or add mashed veggies ...this is very essential & make sure he likes it but making it in a recipe he prefers by trial & error

I think you should start giving him veggies, fruits and anything else he may like.

My paed has told me to give everything to my son as long as he can digest it and it is safely cooked.

Let him eat whatever he wants and his health should be ok. The other reason his intake may have decreased is because you are not offering variety.

You can give tadka to his dal-rice. Give him roti-sabzi -- less spicy. Give variety and he is definitely going to eat.
