Hi,

My 1.5 year old came down with a viral infection about 3 weeks back. She was given antibiotics which first led to diarrhea and then to bad stomach cramps. She also developed a bad case of diaper rash which took about 3 days to clear up/ She was very sick and hardly ate anything for nearly a week. During the later part of the week, she had trouble passing stool and would strain for a long time.

Now she is fully recovered. However, she dislikes going to the potty or the bath room to relieve herself. She seems to be scared that it will hurt. She cries when I take her for a wash - not when the water actualy falls on her whcih makes me think she is cryign only because she thinks it is going to hurt.

Please let me know how I can help her overcome this. She was almost fully potty trained before she got sick - now she does not even sit on the potty :-(
