Problems in School:Whats on his mind -- Is not in the Paper.

hi friends,

I have a kid of he is in 3 rd grade, I am the tutor for him at home. While I teach he learns everything and writes answers to all the question. But in the exam he makes a lot of spelling mistakes. And because of that he looses his mark.

The point here is that, he does not forget the thing he learns even after the exam. When he gets the result and while meet with his teacher to look thru the papers, I will ask him to rewrite some of the mistakes he has made, he will write it without an error.

This bothers me a lot. How to handle this.
Pls HELP.

My son is in same grade as yours.I am his tutor as in your case and faced the same problem. here is solution.
1. intelligent and confident children do make mistakes while writing because they are confident that they know every thing, their mind works fater than their hand and hence mistakes.
2. try giving him an unread passage with 2 or 3 (Q/A) and ask him to do it without your help.
3. make him to revise his work before giving.

Whats on his mind....is not in the paper is one of the problems which is experienced by most of the parents for their kids. Kids basically are very moody, when the time comes..they grasp as swift as they can, but when they arent in a good mood and forced to study, the eventually dont memorize what they are supposed to, so it is very necessary to make him study at a time when he doesnt have play on his mind or at the time when he is in a mood to study, because making a kid study when he doesnt want to...is as good as not making him to study. So see to it that he isnt studying after a tiring day at school or immediately after play.. This is a common thing that happens.. coz I remember facing the same problem when I was a child. So there is nothing to worry about..just go step by step...and look how well ur son scores!!
