i am diagnosed with PCOD last year and it seems i dont ovulate. my doc. had put me on SIphene and did follicular study, the egg ruptured on 17th and 14th day for 2 months. After the rupture doc. had give some ingection. But had no pregnancy then we didnt visit our gynac again.

We thought we vl take some break and relax and may be later we will try ... at the same time we are not regular in love making as we both get tired most of the days so its 4-5 times in month.
(may be less)

I am worried abt this PCOD, anyone who have experience with this and have conceived. Will i be able to get pregnant. if i dont ovulate than how was the egg generated and it ruptured?

pls. clarify my query and let me know if i can conceive. If anyone knows abt any exercise or yoga for geting rid of pcod
RV replied. hey do not worry about PCO... these days sooooo many girls have it... my sister also had it. after some months of treatment she got pregnant... i also have PCO... how did ur doc conclude that u did not ovulate at all? did they do a follicular study?
With medication, you had obviously ovulated (eggs have grown to proper size and got ruptured).. so be happy that one step is crossed now...
as others had mentioned, please keep having intercourse everyday or atleast alternate days during those peak days... after all u r only going to do it for a week or so... so forget about ur tiredness... relax for some time and do it...!!! Swetha Kumar replied. Hi Rose,

Did any doc. suggest to you about using Metformin/Glucophage. I too have very irregular cycles and was asked to take this medication. The first two times I took for a couple of weeks and stopped as i had side effects such as sever headaches and diarrhea. But after a few prgenancy losses I was determined to take this medication again without stopping regardless the side effects. Sure enough my side effects were gone within 2 weeks and very surprisingly I started getting my periods regularly. It is so amazing when I use 1000mg BID(twice a day) without skipping the doses I get the period in exactly 28 days, if I skip the doses then it comes in 30 or 31 days. Having family members as physicians, I am told by them that many of their patients have regular cycles while on Metformin and also lose a lot of weight. I didn' t lose weight but I am so happy that my cycles are regularized. Mine is a sad story tho' ...I am ovulating regularly now but both my tubes are damaged due to having ectopic pregnancies. I was told that my tubes narrowed as i did not ovulate and menstruate regularly. I hope you first consult a reproductive endocrinologist. It is good that you ovulated on Medication, and u need to make sure that u have intercourse on the day that u ovulate, 2 days prior and 2 days after. happymom .... rt. now i m with inlaws so vl try on exercise once we shift 2 our own home(hope so soon) i vl with some medicine

mandeep ... the yoga i m talking is of baba ramdev .. my mom watches on tv ramdev babas yoga she said over there one lady have conceived after 1 1/2 yr. by pranayam ... i vl also try his medicnine after few mnths ....

i m talking abt. yoga more than medicine(Allopathy) bcoz i dnt believe tht such prob can happen to me, i still feel tht i can conceive naturally .... i m 28 n married for 3 yrs.... wht do u think do i hve time to try by own?

n if anyone can clear my doubt on ovulation n egg rupture which i hve mentioned

I was a PCOS patient and my cyces were also very very irregular, same as happy mum none of medicines work for me not even ivf or insemenitions.then after nearly 7 years of trying n lossing my twins we heard about this baba' s ramdev ayurvedic medicine so keep fingers cross i took the whole 3 months course and by the end of third month i was pregnant n gave birth to a lovely baby boy who is 21 months old now.another thing is to stay happy n clam, eat fruit n vegetables n some take good vitamins tablets make sure it has folic acid also in it.I have written many times this same thing, so keeping fingers cross for u, give a try as u never know what will work n when. happymom replied. I was a PCOS patient and my cycles were never regular. None of those siphene/clomid/metformin tablets helped me. Finally an experienced doctor in infertility gave me proper induction with harmone injections and I conceived thru IUI. Excercises and yoga may benefit to certain extent but cannot solve the problem. So it is better to show to some doctor who has high success rate in your city. You should have strong faith in yourself and never lose hope.
