hey gals just wanted to share with you all that I am knitting a small shawl/blanket for my baby. Its obviously baby pink in colour & I am all excited to finish it soon. But cannot sit in one place for a long time & do the knitting.
Is anyone else doing anything similar. I am sure all grandmoms must have started with something? I havent told my parents/ in-laws yet abt the knitting I am doing because they are of opinion not to shop etc before the baby is born :-)

Hi Meghana,

I went through the websites you mentioned. It is lovely that you are knitting a blanket for the baby, especially since our little ones will be born in Dec. I never got a chance to learn knitting, but my mom-in-law is really good at it. Thinking of asking her to teach me when she visits us in November.

Have fun,
Greeshma

Hi Meghana, Raji, Mihika,
So sweet yaar. Your kid is really going to look great with those little creative work... Even I do plan to do something but I am a lazy bump for doing these things. Also I hardly get any time from office and homework. My sister is very talented in these things. But when she was pregnant my mother and her In-laws did not allow her to do anything because the Woolen generate heat...

Best of luck to you guys... and take care and enjoy the knitting.

Hi Meghana,

I have heard that pregnancy is the ideal time to start creative activities like this. In fact, my mother is already planning for me to attend embroidery and other classes when I go to her place for delivery. I knew of a friend who learnt pottery while she was pregnant and now her home is full of them!! It must be really fun and rewarding to make something yourself for your child.

Best,
Raji

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
