Hi Guys! Ok, I got the verdict on the feet swelling. My OB has told me to reduce salt intake, so now I am having tasteless food as such. I put salt after the cooking is done, so it doesn't get that absorbed. Also, absolutely no fried foods or any kind of junk foods. I am to have lots of water and keep my feet raised while lying down. Now, I am unable to sleep at night also because of the position changes. During the day, my son doesn't let me sleep, so I am basically a zombie now!!!!! I am soooooo waiting for December now!!!! Take care.. Bye!
Luv, Siya

Hi Siya,

Its good that u hv reduced ur salt intake. And also avoid junk food as far as possible. I had this habbit of drinking lots of water when i used to work. I used to often drink water and also have a sip in between. And till now the same is going on though i am at home. I can also understand what probs u r going thru. But it's only for sometime and then everything will be sorted out. How old is ur son?

Bye and take care,

Hi Siya,
You really are having a very hectic life.
I do get the swelling now and then as they don’t remain for long time. I will be visiting Gync this week and see what she has to say... And I know very well even she will tell to reduce the salt and junk food... But I don’t think so I can avoid the junk food like Pani Poori, Bhel Poori or Sev Poori... I think you mouth might be watering now... sorry.... I usually have this once or twice a week...
As Raji said we need to drink lot of water but we usually do... If I am in home then the water intake will be less but when I am in office I carry two bottle of water and see to it that till I reach home both the bottle are empty.
Only few more days to go.. and you never know when this Dec month has come.. Best of luck and take care.

Hi Siya,

I think swelling feet must be related to BP and thats why your doc has adviced you to reduce salt intake. In a way its good. And water intake is a also a good suggestion. Doctors always advise us to drink a lot of water but we never really do. It must be tiring to tend to a kid when you have another one inside, I can imagine how you feel, my sister just went through it. But I guess once the baby is out, these things wont even be remembered...

Best,
Raji

Hey Siya,
I know it must be really hard for you being pregnant with one kid already plus all the swelling etc. But dont worry things will be fine> I too was reading that reducing salt intake helps reduce swelling. SO I hope you feel better soon. & Thanks for your mail..Good tips so that everyone else can avoid swelling.
Take care

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
