my son is 8months old can we give honey for cold... sonia replied. yes Prao...i got steamer available at shops..i 9 it is very difficult to give steam..wat i did i' ll tell u..i am having palna(yaar Jhulla u got it) for him..when he slleps I use to put him in the palna and then cover it with a cloth..and in front of the palna i keep the steamer on a small table on his leg' s side so that it can inhale it directly on his nose...but be there with the child..don' t leave him..in between i used to check if it giving more heat..i put it off and likeways i give it for 20-25 min...

Generally Doctors advice to avoid honey upto 1 year...however old ppl said there is nothing to worry at the age of 8-9 months..i gave my son honey mixed with ginger and tulsi juice once in a day when he had cold..i too believe it is fine and his homoepathy doc said it is okie to give it to him....so i think u can give and give warm milk with a pinch of haldi..gud for cold and give steam...u can apply baby vicks(mix it with lotion or baby cream)to his chest,back,liitle on nose and feet while sleeping so that ur baby can sleep nicely...

this all i did..rather i am still giving him steam as weather is changing and sometimes i feel his runny nose..so take care dear :)
