I bought the ring / cushion that is put on the adult toilet seat. I started using this for my daughter when she was abt 10 months old. So far her potty training is going good :)

I didnt buy the portable kind of potty seat coz I would have to train her to use it and then clean it every time she uses it and then in a few months I would have to train her all over again to used the regular toilet seat.
Just my opinion.. do whatever suits u best. Good Luck

you are doing the right thing that´ s best to use the potty ring. but if she does not sit on it then maybe to start out it´ s good to use the sit down potty first. try both.

wow it´ s amazing how you guys potty train your kids so young! I know in india they do it before they turn 1 yrr old.

My daughter is 2-1/2 and she won´ t sit on the potty. In America most kids are potty trained by 2-1/2 or 3...crazy as it sounds..it´ s true.

I am going to india in dec and it´ s the wrong time for me to think of potty training i think..i think i will wait till we get back.

At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
