I was disgonosed with PCOS last year. We were trying for baby since last 1 year. And today I have been disgonosed with genital Tuberculosis. Life seems to have stand still and I am still trying to digest this new disasterous news.I am undergoing treatment from mother and child clinic. Delhi.
I want to know if anyone from you has suffered from both of these things. Is this a fatel combination. and has anyone been successful in having a baby. I would also like to know how long it takes for TB to cure completely. Please help me by sharing ur experiences and this difficult journey. zoya maken replied. I underwent a hysteroscopy prior to my 2nd IVF attempt, during which my doc did endometrial biopsy and sent the sample to the lab for mycobacterium culture test. It came negative for the 1st week and 2nd week, after which doctor did my embryo transfer.

Now, after 4 weeks, suddenly the sample has turned positive for TB. I' m in shock and don' t know how this will effect my chances of embryo implantation, how the treatment of TB will be, etc etc.

I' m still 1 week away from my pregnancy test, hence very, very worried.

It' ll be great if you can share your inputs with me.

zoya Pinki replied. The doctor at Mother and Child is Nalini mahajan. She is very capable doctor. You can only meet her from 10-1 from monday to saturday. No evening appointments. SHEETAL replied. Hi dear do not worry about PCOD.Even i have and have seen many conceive easily with it.
also please tell me about the doctors in mother and child hospital, as i am planning to undergo treatment of infertility over there.Is it possible to meet doctors after 5 pm. raj replied. Hi Pinki,

I too had TB n PCO..not genital TB though..however to get TB cured it took me 9 months. PCO is not such a bad thing as far as i think. Am trying to conceive with the help of IVF. If your tubes are still saved from the TB you perhaps might still have a chance. I would highly reccomend you go to dr ajantA narvekar who has clinics in bombay. These are really good doctors acc. to my experience. They might be able to help you out.
Part of any getting over any problem is staying positive and overcoming it. Have faith, and dont get depressed it will affect your health even more. So stay positive and meditate.I hope the Dr. can help you.
