Things You Must Say to Raise a Brilliant Student

brilliant student
By saying encouraging phrases parents can boost confidence of children to a greater extent. In this way they can raise them into brilliant students. Let us take a look at the things parents must say to raise brilliant students.

Every parent wants their kids to be the best; they expect their kids to excel in life. It needs a lot of sacrifices on the part of the parents. Kids should be raised in the best possible way. Here are some of the things that you must say to raise a brilliant student.

“Never give up”

You should encourage your children to try; he should never be scared of failures. They should believe that failure is a key to success. They should not be embarrassed of failures and stop their endeavours. Tell them stories of eminent personalities who got success after innumerable trials but never lost the hope of succeeding and how they succeeded at last and got accolades from all over the world.

“Mistakes are interesting”

Never yell at kids when they do some mistakes in solving a maths assignment or something. Instead offer them a helping hand; Parents are there to rectify their kids’ mistakes. To light up the mood, use these phrases such as “mistakes are so interesting, lets learn something from your mistakes” etc. Make sure your kids learn the right thing from the mistakes that they made.

“I am glad that you solved it”

Praise your kids when they do something really incredible. Intelligent students can solve an equation faster than average students. To urge their interest more you need to praise them that they have done really a good job and you are proud of them that they could solve the problem themselves without taking anybody’s help. Such praising words will encourage them to do better in their future.

“You really studied hard and here is the result of your effort”

When your children do extremely well in their studies and bring higher grades, besides congratulating them on their success do not forget to appreciate the efforts that they had taken to score such high marks; appreciate their hard work and endeavours. Kids love to be appreciated and to let others know that the good marks have not come to them by chance; they really deserved the good grades for the hardships that they took during the exams and also in the whole year.

“I know you can do it”

If your child comes to you for solving his or her homework, do not do the homework on his or her behalf. This way you are going to ruin your child’s future; he or she will not have the guts to try. Instead help him or in his or her homework but let him or her solve the problems himself or herself. You may only provide a little guidance to your kid or may explain the things to him or her if he or she did not follow the chapter in his or her class. Encourage him or her to solve his or her own problems himself or herself by saying that you know he or she has the calibre to solve it alone.

“I trust you”

Let your kids take their own decisions and solve their own problems by letting them know that you trust their capability to decide for themselves. Things like, “I know you will come up with the right decision”, or “I know you can easily figure this out”, etc encourages kids to think about their problems more deeply and come out with their own solutions. This sharpens the thinking skills in kids. This will help your kids to help their own selves in the time of adversities without waiting for you to affirm their decisions. Their failures or successes are solely about them and not of anybody else.
Encouraging your kids ensures that your kids remain focussed in their efforts which are very important to stay as a brilliant student for the rest of his academic life and later on in his professional life too.

How to encourage kids to do well in studies? What are ways in which parents can get involved in the academics of children? Why is it important to be involved in the studies of children? Discuss here.
