  • Keep your breasts supple for proper and smooth lactation. You can use breast pads to help absorbing any sort of leakage of milk from your breasts.
  • Wash and clean your nipples with water.
  • You can use breast shells if you have flat nipples from five months of pregnancy. These shells protract your nipples to prepare you for breastfeeding.
  • Start gently massaging your breasts during the last 6 weeks of pregnancy. This helps in clearing the ducts.
  • You can attend breastfeeding class, often conducted at maternity clinics and hospitals.
