Celebrating New Year with Babies, Kids and Friends

Celebrating New Year with Babies, Kids and Friends

Celebrating New Year with babies, kids, friends, and other family members is all about having a gala time. Raise a toast and enter into the New Year with joy by celebrating it the right way.

A family that has babies, kids with lots of friends and relatives dropping in, is surely an opportunity for celebration in itself. Celebrating New Year with kids, friends and family is an occasion for enhanced joy. Kids always bring in a lot of excitement and innocent fun in any party and when you have friends and relatives dropping in, you get to meet them and exchange good wishes and spend quality time together. Here, we will discuss a few ways in which you can include your babies or kids in New Year’s Party along with other family members, friends and relatives and transform the party as a real joyous occasion to remember:

New Year With Babies

While with babies, you need to be extra careful as it is winter and they must be adequately protected from the chill. Dress them up in cute furry dresses and even if they are too young to understand language, they will surely get a hang of the fact that something special is going on. Your evening will be made with the sweet joy on their faces as they are hugged and cuddled with all the people in your house. As a parent, you also need to make sure that you have enough free time so that you can carry your baby along and spend time with him or her and not be engaged with household work for party preparations.

New Year With Kids

Kids understand a New Year party obviously better than the babies and they find it very special. The very first reason for the occasion being special is that they are “allowed” to stay awake past the usual bedtime, there are guests and relatives around, completely dressed up in the house; there are confetti, hats to be worn, maybe even exciting masks and the noisemakers. These are all the things that are of fun and excitement for the kid.

Get your kids dressed for the occasion, ask them to help you with the decorations of the house or the dinner table and they will only be too eager to be involved in the activities. Look at their joy, when you make them a part of the entire party, when you raise a toast, ideally a fruit punch toast for the New Year, with the kid along with you.

With Friends and Relatives

When you are looking forward to organise a New Year party that involves each guest in equal measure, you can do some planning for the entertainment of your friends and relatives. The options are:

A Chat Session

You might be meeting a number of your relatives and friends after a long time. This is an excellent occasion to catch up with all the stories that you might have wanted to, but could not as you did not meet them face to face since a few months. Make sure that each member along with the kids, your's and your guest's are also a part of this interaction.

A Game

You can get together and play a game that is decided upon through consensus. You can play the usual party games like Musical Chair, Spelling Bee, Guess The Tune, Pass the Parcel, Chinese Whisper and more. You might also surprise your guests by planning your own party game which is fun and at the same time engaging.

A Show

You may stage a show with your kids and some of your relatives and friends with whom you are in regular touch. This can be a special treat for the other guests in your New Year celebrations. If you want you can also arrange for Magic Show or a Comedy Show on the New Year’s eve.

A Film Show

You may also plan to play a DVD of some all time favourite film or any other film of popular choice. This can take place post dinner session.

Basically, the point to remember in a New Year celebration involving babies, kids, friends and family is that the environment should be simple and fun. Do not plan any adult entertainment, be it with shows, drinks or even conversation that you would not want the kids to be a part of. If it is a single party, each member should be comfortable in it and enjoy it. Your innovative ideas and effort will surely guarantee a wholesome entertainment through which you can enter into the New Year with joy, joy for all!

Keeping kids entertained at the party works best as not only the kids but also others are able to enjoy the party. I am planning to keep a kid section.

Party with kids in tow is really difficult. I remember two years back, my kid was very small and I had a tough time. Wish I had someone to guide me at that time
